The digital record created can then be seen by school providing an unprecedented level of detailed, insightful knowledge of individual children's reading behaviours.

Pupils enter the number of pages they read each day. They can check their own reading progress through a book with the '% completed' figure. They can also confirm whether their reading was done with an adult.

Through the school admin panel, teachers can view the books added by pupils that they are reading and track their progress through being able to see how many pages a child has read each week. This information can then be sorted by a wide range of criteria such as EAL, PP, or SEND to assist in the assessment of the data and subsequent direction of support.

Through the admin panel, teachers are able to view a history of the books that pupils are reading. This enables teachers to observe reading patterns and encourage more diverse choices or guide pupils to appropriate genres to support their progress. Pupils can record if they have read alongside an adult which encourages parental engagement, as well as allowing the recording of reading with adults in school. Notifications can be sent out to pupils and parents allowing schools to recommend books, reward children for their reading, as well as prompt pupils to read each day.

Managing the Book Library

Using the 'Add a Book' feature, children can effortlessly add details of books they are reading to their library by scanning the bar code. The title, author, and number of pages, as well as an image of the front cover are recorded. As they read, the app lets them know how far (%) through a book they are.
